The Avant auger is a versatile attachment designed to efficiently carry out a wide range of drilling applications, including tree planting. It is available in several models: a standard version featuring a hydraulic motor with direct auger drive, as well as Heavy Duty versions equipped with a hydraulic motor combined with a planetary gearbox, providing high torque for more demanding applications.
The range accommodates auger bits from 75 to 900 mm in diameter, allowing the equipment to be adapted to a variety of applications. The auger bits feature replaceable teeth and can optionally be fitted with tungsten teeth, which are particularly suitable for drilling in hard ground and for regular professional use. With the optional shaft extensions, the maximum drilling depth can reach 2.50 metres.
The HD augers can also be equipped with a pivot joint, allowing lateral movement of the auger drive and auger bit. This feature makes it easier to keep the auger bit vertical, even when the loader is operating on sloping ground. When combined with an Avant articulated loader, the auger also provides excellent visibility of the working area while minimising damage to the surrounding ground.
